A bomb attack targeting a patrol car in the northern Libyan city of Benghazi killed a soldier and injured another, military sources said.
The attack on Sunday has not been claimed by any group.
Benghazi is the second largest city in Libya, a country that has remained plagued with instability since the revolution in 2011 that culminated at the end of the 42-year long autocratic rule of Muammar Gaddafi.
Armed assaults against military and security targets are common in Benghazi, a reflection of the chaos that has gripped the country over the last two years.
Last month, US Navy Seals carried out an operation in capital Tripoli where they captured an al-Qaeda operative wanted for his alleged role in the 1998 US embassy bombings in Africa.
Days after the operation, Libyan Prime Minister Ali Zeidan was arrested by an armed group as a reaction to the Libyan government's involvement in the capture of Anas al-Liby. Zeidan was freed hours later.Güncelleme Tarihi: 03 Kasım 2013, 11:09
