A Sinai-based rebel group said on Sunday that it had beheaded three Egyptians and bombed the home of the fourth for spying for Israel and the Egyptian military.
The Ansar Beit al-Maqdis, which was declared a "terrorist" movement by Egypt months ago, posted a video in which it shows the beginning of the beheading of three men, and bombing the home of the fourth, accusing them of spying for Israel and the Egyptian army in the Sinai Peninsula.
The 26-minute video shows the three men making confessions that they were spying on the group for the sake of Israel and the Egyptian military.
The video does not, however, show the exact beheading process, but it shows a group member holding a knife and starting it.
Ansar Beit al-Maqdis had posted videos of similar beheadings of people it also accused of spying on it for the sake of Egypt and Israel before.
The movement had claimed responsibility for most attacks against the Egyptian army in the Sinai Peninsula. It also took its battle against the authorities to Cairo and the Nile Delta where it also claimed responsibility for the bombings of several police headquarters.
The Egyptian army has been clamping down on the movement as well as other militant groups in Sinai for more than a year now.Güncelleme Tarihi: 06 Ekim 2014, 10:25
