The Free Syrian Army staged an attack on a military envoy supplying ammunition to the Assad regime in Sufaira and Hanasir districts in southern Aleppo.
Ahmed Abu Firas, a spokesman for the Free Syrian Army, told an Anadolu Agency correspondent that they killed tens of soldiers loyal to the Assad regime including 19 Hezbollah members, and took 5 of them as hostages.
Firas said they annihilated four ammunition transport vehicles and three antiaircraft carriers. He also said they made major gains against the Syrian regime in operations across the country adding fierce clashes between the regime forces and the Free Syrian Army have continued in the region for ten days.
Tensions in Syria flared in March 2011 during the onset of the Arab Spring and escalated into an ongoing civil war, which killed over 100 thousand people and more than one million Syrians fled to neighboring countries, according to the UN figures.Güncelleme Tarihi: 02 Ağustos 2013, 16:12
