Syria's Information Minister Omran Ahed Zoabi said Tuesday that ties between Iran and Syria are beyond common relations between two states. 

He made the remarks in a meeting with Head of Strategic Research Center of the Expediency Council Ali Akbar Velayati.

The Syrian information minister noted that Iran-Syria relations are beyond the relations between two members of the international community but it is between two brothers and nobody is able to separate them.

The official called for promotion of all out ties between Tehran and Damascus, adding that both the Iranian and Syrian nations follow Islamic teachings and Islam guarantees the two states' friendship. He also praised the Iranian nation's loyalty to the ideals of Founder of Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini.

Earlier this week, Iran's Foreign Minister Zarif on a press conference in Moscow reassured everyone that his country is and will be supporting Syrian goevernment.
