U.S. led coalition planes bombs ISIL objectives in the city, as intense fighting in the city continues

ISIL took control of Tel Shair hill in the Kobani city on Thursday, where severe fighting between Kurdish security forces and ISIL militants continues.

“We have abandoned the Tel Shair Hill,” Faris ebu Ahmad, a commandant from Revolutionaries of Raqqa brigade, a group which is supporting Kurdish fighters against ISIL, told Anadolu Agency.

He said that the northwest parts of the city are under intense attacks. “Seventeen ISIL militants and two of our friends were killed there”, he said.

Meanwhile, the fighting between ISIL militants and Kurdish fighters is intensified also in the inner parts of the city.

Separately, the U.S. led coalition planes attacked Thursday morning the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant objectives in Kobani (Ayn Al Arap).

Kobani city in northern Syria, near the Turkish border is under the attack from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant militants since mid-September. Around 180,000 Kurdish citizens have fled the city for Turkey in attempt to save their lives, according to the UN.

U.S. have airdropped weapons supplies fro Kurdish forces in Kobani, while Turkish officials have said this week that they will help Peshmerga forces (Iraqi Kurdish forces) to pass through from Iraq to Syria and join Kurdish forces in protecting the city.
