Israeli authorities deprive 362 detainees from the Gaza Strip from receiving family visits, a Palestinian NGO has said.
The Palestinian Prisoners' Center for Studies added in a statement on Saturday that the 362 detainees are deprived of family visits for months and also years for "unacceptable reasons."
It called on rights groups to interfere to convince Israeli authorities to allow the relatives of the detainees to visit them, saying banning family visits is against the law and international treaties.
The Anadolu Agency could not immediately obtain comments from Israel's Prison Service on the statement of the center.
Israel allows the relatives of Palestinian detainees in its jails to visit them on a weekly basis.
These visits are, however, banned at times of high tension between the Palestinians and the Israelis.
There are around 7,000 Palestinian detainees in Israeli jail, including 5,000 from the Gaza Strip, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Detainees and Ex-Detainees.
