Lebanese security forces have arrested a Palestinian suspect in connection with last November's attack that targeted the Iranian embassy, a security source told Anadolu Agency on Tuesday.

The suspect was arrested by the General Security Authority after investigation revealed he had links to the two perpetrators of the attack, the source said.

At least 24 people were killed, including the Iranian culture attaché, in a deadly blast that targeted the Iranian embassy in Beirut in November.

In December, the Lebanese government arrested Majid al-Majid, the leader of the Abdullah Azzam Brigades, which claimed responsibility for the embassy bombing.

Al-Majid later died in custody.
