A military helicopter has crashed in eastern Saudi Arabia, leaving its four-member crew dead, official SPA news agency reported late Monday.

The helicopter was on a training mission when it crashed in the west of King Khalid Military City in Hafar al-Batin city, the agency said, quoting an unnamed military source.

An investigation has been opened into the incident, the report said, giving no further details.
