Unknown assailants conducted an attack on a hotel in the North Sinai town of Al-Arish at midnight on Thursday.
There were no casualties in the attack which struck the entrance of the hotel, officials said.
An operation was started to arrest the assailants as the security measures around the hotel were strengthened.
Sinai Peninsula, near Egypt's borders with Israel and the Palestinian Gaza Strip, has been hit with almost daily attacks since the army's ouster of Mohamed Morsi, the country's first democratically elected president, on 3 July.Güncelleme Tarihi: 02 Ağustos 2013, 11:23
