The prosecution is accusing Ambassador Mohammed Refa'a Al-Tahtawi, the Chief of Staff of the deposed president, and Mr. Ahmed Shiha, the director of Morsi's office, of inciting violence outside the Ittihadiya presidential palace.
Tahtawi and Shiha have been held with Morsi in an undisclosed location since his ouster by the army on July 3 following mass protests against his regime.
During a meeting with an Egyptian human rights delegation on Friday, July 26, the two complained about not knowing where they were being detained and being denied contact with their families or lawyers.
