Netanyahu 'fully backs' bloody Israeli attack on Gaza ship

Israel's prime minister has expressed his "full backing" for the bloody military attack on international Gaza aid flotilla trying to break Israeli siege.

Israeli commandos stormed the ships before dawn and at least 19 activists on board were killed, most of them reportedly Turkish nationals.

Benjamin Netanyahu's office says he spoke Monday to top Israeli diplomatic and security officials by telephone from Canada and voiced his "full backing" for the military.

Meanwhile, Netanyahu has cancelled plans to meet U.S. President Barack Obama in Washington on Tuesday, an Israeli statement said, in the wake of a deadly Israeli raid on Gaza-bound ships.

"Netanyahu decided to cut short his visit to Canada and return to Israel early," the statement said on Monday. Netanyahu has been in Canada since Friday for talks with government leaders.
