Obama discusses terrorism fight with Gulf leaders

U.S. President Barack Obama held talks on Thursday with the leaders of Qatar and Kuwait on the sidelines of a Gulf summit held in Riyadh. 

Discussions between Obama and Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamir bin Hamas tackled anti-terrorism efforts and regional developments, particularly the situation in Yemen, Libya and Syria, according to the official Qatari news agency. 

Obama also held talks with Kuwait's Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad to discuss regional and international developments, including efforts aimed at fighting terrorism, the Kuwaiti news agency reported. 

The meetings were held on the sidelines of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) summit, which opened in Riyadh on Thursday.
