An oil pipeline fire broke out in Syria’s Rumeylan region and oil flow got suspended as the fire is still to be intervened if the clashes permit extinguishing efforts.
According to information an AA correspondent received from local sources, clashes between PYD and Al-Nusra Front continue unabated in Rumeylan, Rasulayn and Malikiye regions of Haseke city and caused a fire on pipeline that transfers oil to Banyas refinery a few days ago.
The fire could not be extinguished because of continuous clashes in the region and therefore the authorities have stopped oil pumps. Local authorities also said that some groups drilled through the pipes to steal oil recently.
