The secretary general of the Palestine Liberation Organization has slammed on Thursday ISIL violence in Iraq and Syria.
Speaking at conference of the Argentine Council for International Relations -- a nonprofit academic institution -- Saeb Erakat slammed the militant group.
“I do not see any differences between a murderer who makes Western journalists kneel and cuts their throats and the killer who set fire 18-month-old Ali Said Dawabsha alive,” Erakat said, likening beheadings of Western journalists by the militant group to an arson attack on a West Bank home, which claimed the life of an 18-month-old baby and later his father’s.
Three Jewish settlers suspected of carrying out the attack were later arrested.
Erakat who was in Argentine for the two-day council in Buenos Aires, also said that the conflict in Palestine was “not religious but political”.
