The Democratic Union Party (PYD), a Syrian Kurdish party affiliated with the PKK, has announced that is has gained control of the Syrian village of Ras Al-Ayn on the border with Turkey. The Syrian opposition has confirmed this news.
Violent clashes have been occurring between the PYD and Nusra Front and Gureba Al Sham over the last two days.
Earlier, security sources and health officials said two Turkish citizens, including a 15-year-old boy, had been killed in Ceylanpinar by stray bullets from ongoing clashes between the Kurdistan Peoples' Party (PKK) and the Nusra Front in the Syrian border town of Ras Al-Ayn of Al-Hasakah City.
Local authorities said that clashes have intensified since Monday in Syria's Ras Al-Ayn near the Turkey-Syria border.
Sounds of the clashes where long barreled weapons are being used were heard in Sanliurfa's border town of Ceylanpinar.
Chief of the Cumhuriyet District on the Syrian border Nezir Atilla was slightly injured by a bullet fired from an unknown place which grazed his arm.
