Saudi artillery on Friday shelled Razih, a district of Yemen's northern Saada province, locals have said.
According to locals, the shelling targeted an area close to the Saudi Jizan province on border with Yemen.
It was not immediately clear whether the shelling caused any casualties.
On Tuesday, Saudi Arabia announced the end of a month-long air campaign against Houthi positions in Yemen.
The following day, however, Riyadh resumed its airstrikes, stressing its right to strike the Yemeni Shiite group "if necessary."
Yemen has been in turmoil since 2011 since a popular uprising forced ex-President Ali Abdullah Saleh to step down a year later.
Last September, the Houthi took control of capital Sanaa and moved on to extend their control to other provinces, sending shockwaves in the Arab Gulf, who suspect that the Houthis are abetted by Iran.
