Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal will meet French counterpart Bernard Kouchner on Monday, the foreign ministry said after the kingdom's monarch postponed a visit to France.
A spokesman at the Saudi embassy in Paris said on Friday that King Abdullah's visit had been postponed and that a new date had not been set. No details were given.
The king had been scheduled to meet President Nicolas Sarkozy as the two countries look to develop their relationship ahead of France taking over the G20 chairmanship next year.
Saudi Arabia is the only Arab member among the bloc of leading economic powers.
The foreign ministers will discuss bilateral relations as well as international and regional issues, the ministry said in a statement on Sunday. Al-Faisal will also open an exhibition of Saudi's archaeological treasures at the Louvre museum, the ministry added.
