A Yemeni man was killed and two others injured on Monday in an attack by armed men in the country's southern Ad Dali' province, a security source said.
According to the source, the three men, who belonged to a group of southern separatists, had been in an area between capital Sana'a and Ad Dali' when they came under attack by the group.
The reason for the shooting remains unclear and no group has claimed responsibility for the incident.
Security is proving to be a major challenge for Yemen, which has remained in a state of tumult since the departure of long-serving president Ali Abdullah Saleh in 2012.
Last year was marked by numerous attacks and armed clashes that left hundreds dead and thousands injured.
Most of the casualties were Yemeni army troops, but large numbers of civilians, too, have been killed in attacks by Al-Qaeda-linked groups across the country.Güncelleme Tarihi: 13 Ocak 2014, 12:03
