The demonstrators in front of the Egyptian Embassy gathered to support Morsi in capital Tunis.

Tens of Tunisians carrying Morsi posters shouted as "People want to release the prisoners. No to military government!"

The protesters also said that the restrictions on freedom of the press including the closure of some of the television channels were worrying.

Osama Mohamed Morsi, son of Morsi, also supported his father by saying "Be in fortitude. God is with you!"

Osama Morsi, adresssed to pro-Morsi supporters in Rabiatul Adawiya Square in Cairo, said "We are with you in this road. Go straight and continue moving forward on this road. We wish that God will help us to protect the January 25 revolution with our voice or blood."

The military coup in Egypt had received a multitude of reactions from neighboring countries in the region.
