Turkey's ambassador in Cairo will extend his stay in Egypt upon decision of Turkish MFA despite his Cairo tenure ending.

Turkish Ambassador Huseyin Avni Botsali, whose tenure in Cairo expired on June 30, will stay in Egypt for a little longer due to protests in the country upon the decision of Turkey's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).

Botsali has been appointed as the Turkish Ambassador to Bosnia.

Ambassador Botsali was expected to leave Egypt nowadays and head to Bosnia, yet a decision taken by Turkish Foreign Affairs stated that Ambassador Botsali will run thw office in Cairo for a little longer. The Ambassador's spouse and children left the country.

Botsali's appointment decree came up in January and his Cairo office tenure ended on June 30.

Ambassador Botsali has held the position of Turkey's Ambassador in Cairo for 3 and a half years.
