A Turkish charity on Saturday distributed 5,000 schoolbags to students affected by the latest Israeli war in eastern Gaza City.
Mehmet Kaya, the representative of Turkish charity IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation, said his organization primarily targeted students in schools that were destroyed during the Israeli offensive on Gaza as well as Gaza's orphans and the children of war injured victims.
He told Anadolu Agency that IHH would offer yet more aid to school students in the days to come.
Israel's 51-day war on the Gaza Strip left around 2,157 Gazans dead and more than 11,000 others injured.
Israeli attacks also destroyed thousands of Gaza's homes and facilities that included also schools and administrative buildings.
