Greek activists have been transferred to a Turkish Gaza aid ship after one of ships from Greece experienced technical failure, Turkish relief group said on Friday.
Turkish human rights organisation or IHH has chartered one passenger ferry and is one of the organisers.
One of the ships joining the “Palestine Our Route, Humanitarian Aid Our Load” flotilla from Greece dropped out due to a technical failure.
Passengers of the ship named “Challenge 2” have been moved on to Mavi Marmara at a point near Cyprus in the international waters.
"The transfer to "Mavi Marmara" passenger ferry of the passengers have been completed successfully, " IHH said in a statement.
The ship Mavi Marmara is now heading towards the meeting point of the flotilla together with its newly arrived passengers.
The boats would converge at a meeting point in international waters east of Cyprus, probably late on Friday, and then head across the eastern end of the Mediterranean Sea towards Gaza.
Activists, onboard Mavi Marmara, greeted their fellow passengers by chanting slogans such as “Long live Palestine”.
"The number of the passengers on Mavi Marmara have raised up to 778 after new passengers", IHH said.
However, number of the boats joining the flotilla fell down to 8.
