Yemen orders seizure of three Egyptian fishing ships

Yemen's Public Funds Prosecution on Monday ordered the seizure of three Egyptian fishing vessels for violating the country's territorial waters.

In a statement, the Interior Ministry said the fish caught by the Egyptian vessels would be sold and the proceeds would be given to Yemeni authorities.

The ships were seized by Yemeni coast guards on February 19 for illegally fishing in the country's territorial waters.

Egyptian authorities were not immediately available to comment.
