Zarif meets with Hezbollah leader, Lebanese PM

According to Lebanese media, Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif ahead of an Iranian delegation held a long meeting with Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah on Tuesday evening. 

Reportedly they discussed latest regional and international developments and Iran-Lebanon bilateral relations.

Later FM Zarif has met with Tammam Salam, Lebanon's Prime Minister, the two discussed regional developments.

Tammam Salam emphasized on the role of spiritual, social and political aspects of resistance; "we are convinced that mutual understanding and agreement is the only way to save Lebanon of crisis," Lebanese PM asserted.

'Tehran supports Lebanese people’s demands and is ready to stand by and cooperate with the people of that country,” Zarif said, speaking to reporters after his meeting with Salam. 

FM Zarif expressed hope that bilateral cooperation would help pave the way for further development in Lebanon.

Pointing to the positive impact of the nuclear deal results on stability and development of the region, he said "Iran solved a complicated international problem by means of egotiation and dialogue."

Meeting with Lebanon's parliament speaker, foreign minister, Palestinian groups in Lebanon, and a press conference are on Zarif's agenda and his delegation in Beirut on Wednesday.
