Seven Palestinian policemen in the Hamas-run Gaza Strip were injured by an explosion while undergoing training, a spokesman for Gaza's Health Ministry said Wednesday.

"Seven elements of the national security agency sustained slight to moderate injuries after an explosive device went off during training at one of the national security sites in the Zeitoun district southeast of Gaza City," Ashraf al-Qadra told Anadolu Agency.

The injured were transferred to Al-Shifa Hospital, the coastal enclave's main medical facility, for treatment.
