Palestinian resistance factions had executed a number of Israeli moles during the bloody Israeli onslaught against the blockaded Gaza Strip, according to a Palestinian website specialized in security affairs.

"Some agents were executed in combat areas for informing the Israeli army on resistance fighters and the ambushes they had laid out for Israeli troops," Al-Majd website, which is known for its close links with resistance factions in Gaza, quoted an unnamed source as saying.

The website said the resistance factions would continue to "deter moles and pain the Israeli intelligence by stamping out its agents in the Gaza Strip."

It added that the factions would not show mercy to "whoever offers information to the enemy about the resistance and its fighters."

The Israeli government and Palestinian factions have endorsed an Egyptian proposal for a three-day ceasefire in the Gaza Strip starting Tuesday.

Israel has since completely withdrawn its forces from the besieged Palestinian territory.

According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, at least 1867 Palestinians, mostly civilians, were killed and 9470 wounded in unrelenting Israeli attacks since July 7.

The Israeli army, for its part, has confirmed the killing of 64 troops and the injury of 651 others in Gaza combat operations, while three civilians were killed in rocket attacks on Israeli cities.
