Palestinians look forward for Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's visit in Gaza and residents here hope that the trip will help end embargoes and divisions.
"We hope that Erdogan would be 'the Conqueror' who will destroy the shackles of the Gaza prison," Ahmed Harazallah told the Anadolu Agency, expressing support for Erdogan's insistence on the Palestinian reconciliation.
"We expect concrete results about the end of the blockade of Gaza in the forthcoming period. Erdogan is a leader who won the trust of both Hamas and Fatah. And that's why he is the most important person who had the power to put both parties together," Enes al-Madhun, another Gazan, said.
The Turkish prime minister is expected to visit Gaza but the specific date for the trip has yet to be announced.
