Families of Palestinians kept in Israeli prisons held a "demonstration for solidarity in front of the Red Cross headquarters in Ramallah.
Amin Shuman, the coordinator of High Assembly of Captive Affairs, made a speech during the demonstration in which representatives from 15 different countries attended, and said, "I demand from Palestinian officials to stop the peace talks with Israeli government which expands Jewish settlement units and treats the Palestinian prisoners badly who are in an open-ended hunger strike."
Pointing out that the prisoners in hunger-strike were under danger in terms of health, Shuman accused Israeli administration of this situation as being indifferent.
"Matter of Palestinian captives is a sine qua non in peace talks" said Shuman, adding "Families of prisoners and the Palestinian streets are irritated as captives matter does not take place on the agenda of peace talks."
Nine prisoners kept in Israeli prisons still sustain their hunger strike for over 100 days, which was started to protest maltreatment and unhealthy conditions.Güncelleme Tarihi: 21 Ağustos 2013, 09:27
