Leading Turkish foundation and aid organizers discussed the last organization for Gaza aiming to break the heavy Israeli siege in capital of Labanon.

IHH (The Foundation For Human Rights and Freedoms and Humanitarian Relief) and a number of international aid organizations gathered in Beirut to discuss the latest updates on “Palestine Our Route, Humanitarian Aid Our Load” campaign.

Representatives of European and Turkish aid organizations that run the 8-ship humanitarian aid campaign to Gaza Strip co-held a meeting in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon.

Huseyin Oruc, member of the Administrative Board of IHH, noted that during the meeting which was held in Bristol Hotel, the participants from various countries discussed the latest situation regarding the flotilla campaign.

Oruc said “We are getting ready to sail on to Gaza on 23rd of May together with a flotilla of 8 ships carrying humanitarian aid. Our plan is to embark on our journey to Gaza by June. At this meeting, we have discussed the latest updates and what needs to be done regarding the campaign.”

Gaza has been under heavy blockade for most of the time since Hamas took power there in June 2007.

Gazans live under heavy Israel siege for a long time and Egypt still insists on not to opening the only Gaza border crossing in a move condemned by Muslims around the world in protests, leaving Gazans desperate to digging tunnels underground and risking their lives.
