Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) deputy Altan Tan has requested a parliamentary inquiry into claims of the "Kurdish Ergenekon" and murders in the region.

In the proposal by BDP Diyarbakır deputy Altan Tan for the opening of a parliamentary inquiry into "Kurdish Ergenekon" and the murders in the region, it is claimed that the name of the Ergenekon armed clandestine organization in southeast Anatolia is JİTEM.

The proposal, which expresses that various searches were conducted in the region within the scope of the Ergenekon investigation and that unsolved murders have once again come on the agenda, states that "State officials have claimed many times that the Ergenekon organization has extensions in Kurdish politics.” Noting the significance of claims regarding a "Kurdish Ergenekon," the proposal insists a parliamentary inquiry must reveal such claims.
