The World Family Organization presented the "2010 World Family Award" to Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday.

In a ceremony held at the United Nations on Tuesday, the President of the World Family Organization Dr. Deisi Kusztra gave Erdogan's award to Turkey's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ambassador Ertugrul Apakan.

Dr. Kusztra thanked Prime Minister Erdogan for his sensitivity on family matters and leadership.

Receiving Erdogan's award, Ambassador Apakan said that he was honored to receive Prime Minister Erdogan's award.

I thank President Kusztra for the nice words uttered. Prime Minister Erdogan made great efforts to strengthen families of the world. Erdogan made contributions to international cooperation for families, Apakan also said.

The World Family Organization is an international organization which has as main objective to represent families of the world at all levels, to defend their interests and to act with them and for them vis a vis governments and the international community.
