Turkish govt says no early votes

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Tuesday that the government had never thought of holding early elections.

Premier Erdogan, who is currently visiting Bosnia-Herzegovina, delivered a speech in the Sarajevo Business Forum.

"No one has the right to cloud economic atmosphere in Turkey. If some politicians try to do this, they betray their country. We have never thought of holding early general elections," he said.

The general elections in Turkey is scheduled to take place in July, 2011.
