Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Saturday that opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) sides with organizations such as DHKP-C (Revolutionary People Liberation Party-Front) for it is unable to come to power through elections.

Erdogan, speaking at the southern Turkish city of Adana rally for local elections, said that "CHP claims that it is unclear who fired at the 22-year-old man who was killed in the protests after the funeral of 15-year-old Berkin Elvan wounded in Gezi Park protests while the DHKP-C claims responsibility for it - CHP tries to protect the 'terrorists' (DHKP-C)."

Erdogan states that many plots are afoot to destabilize Turkey and he said, "the recent event including Gezi Park protests target Turkey's economic development, political stability and pro-active foreign policy."

He pledged that the government will take all necessary legal action against those who designed plots against Turkey, particularly the perpetrators of December 17 and the anti-graft operations.

"We will seek those who try to provoke violence on the streets. We will not leave the country to those who illegaly wiretap people, fabricate voice recordings and provoke the youth," added Erdogan.
