Saudi Arabia declared on Tuesday that neither 'corona' virus nor epidemics were found in umrah visitors in Ramadan by medical examinations.
The number of patients who appealed to hospitals was 7,058, suffering from sweltering weather or chronical illnesses, spokesman of Health Ministry Dr. Halid Margalani said in a written statement.
The Ministry had stated Friday that number of people suffering from corona virus increased to 70 in Saudi Arabia since September 2012.
The virus was ascertained in last September for the first time in world history, which caused 44 deaths while affecting 81. No protective vaccine or antibiotics pharmacotherapy is available to fight against corona.
Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that includes viruses that may cause a range of illnesses in humans, from the common cold to MERS and SARS. Human coronaviruses usually cause mild to moderate upper-respiratory tract illnesses of short duration. Symptoms may include runny nose, cough, sore throat, and fever. These viruses can sometimes cause lower-respiratory tract illnesses, such as pneumonia. There are currently no vaccines available to protect against human coronavirus infection.
Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) is viral respiratory illness first reported in Saudi Arabia in 2012. It is caused by a coronavirus called MERS-CoV. Most people who have been confirmed to have MERS-CoV infection developed severe acute respiratory illness.
