Welcoming the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims across the world rushed to mosques to perform the first Tarawih prayer, an extra prayer specific to Ramadan, according to the practices of Prophet Mohammed, performed by Muslims following the obligatory night prayer Isha'.
Upon the news coming from Saudi Arabia that "The Ramadan crescent hasn't been observed in the sky yet", Muslims of Palestine, to begin their fast on Wednesday, started Ramadan with the first Tarawih prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque.
All roads to the mosque were enlightened by Arabs as every year.
