A satellite channel set-up by Muslim Brotherhood affiliates has gone on air from Turkey.
Rabaa TV has been named in honor of the slain at Cairo’s Rabaa al-Adawiyyah protests in August, where as many as 2000 Egyptians were killed while demonstrating against the July 3, military coup that ousted elected leader Mohamed Morsi.
The first program aired featured prominent Egyptian scholar Yusuf al-Qaradawi, who resigned from Egypt’s Al-Azhar University in protest against the institutions support of the military coup.
