Turkey adopts bill on military service for non-resident Turks

Turkish Parliament adopted a bill on Tuesday which brings new opportunities for non-resident Turks to make their military service by paying foreign exchange.

Under the new law, non-resident Turks, who lost their rights to benefit from military service by paying foreign exchange, will be considered to have done their military services if they both pay 10,000 euro and fulfill basic military training program.

Turks, who are living abroad and want to benefit from the law, will apply to recruiting offices through consulates and by presenting several documents. They will make a single payment of 10,000 euro or any foreign exchange equal with this amount during the application.
