Turkey has condemned an explosion in the Iraqi capital Baghdad, that killed around 50 people on Wednesday.
At least 43 people were killed and 61 others -- mostly from security forces -- wounded in a bomb attack on Wednesday in Baghdad, according to a Iraqi police source.
"We strongly condemn this reprehensible attack that targeted Iraq's stability and the unity and integrity of the Iraqi people," a statement by the Turkish Foreign Ministry said.
Turkey will continue to stand by the Iraqi government and people in its struggle against terror, it added.
"The attack targeted pro-government Al-Sahwa forces in the Al-Mada’in district in southeastern Baghdad,” a police source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told The Anadolu Agency earlier on Wednesday.
The attack has yet to be claimed.
