Turkey's president assigns four remaining top judicial members

Turkey's President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, selected four members to sit on the top judicial body in the country on Saturday night.

More than 12,000 members of the judiciary had gone to the polls to elect 10 permanent and 6 substitute members of the High Council of Judges and Prosecutors on Oct. 12.

The 22-member assembly is chaired by the Minister of Justice, Bekir Bozdag, with the assembly's final member being the Justice Ministry's undersecretary.

The council is in charge of its judicial members' inspections, assignments and promotions.
